Windscreen Wiper Blades

Pretty simple one really - I'm going to change the bulb on the brake light of my Gen.1 Cayman S, and thought I may as well do the wiper blades too. Do you guys all just use OEM ones, or is there a better alternative out there?!

I think Bosch are the OEM? I think the passenger side requires Porsche specific ones that bends with the curvature of the windscreen.

I think they probably are, though I've not checked. Good point on the passenger side one - I think you might be right. I'll probably just suck it up and pay Porsche prices at the same time I get the bulb for my brake light.

The price of OE wipers is a bit of a joke. Its so incredibly simple to just replace the rubber blades that you can afford to do it frequently, have absolutely clear vision AND save enough to pay for tickets to see Tommy Steel in Scrooge.

How much am I looking at from Porsche for the wiper blade then? Euro Car Parts seem to do it for about £25 - Porsche can't be that much more, surely?

Have you tried Silicon blades? They are really good, I would recommend them

I believe the part number is Bosch 582s if the Cayman requires the same wipers as the Boxster. ECP usually have a 30% discount code, alternatively try carparts4less.co.uk and of course ebay for competitve prices.

They're the ones. You can get them from camskill

Without wanting to sound 'poncey', my Bosch "aero" ones deflect significantly when going over 200km/h, particularly on the drivet sude

Anyone know an alternative that doesn't?

Just taken a look at the PIAA wipers over on the Camskill website. Can someone please confirm what wipers are suitable for my 986 Boxster? I think it's a 21" and 22" in size, but there seem to be 3 different types in each size too, I.e.

Super silicone
Curved super silicone
Sportza silicone spoiler

Reviving an old thread but hopefully someone can help.
Trying to get hold of a set of wipers - PIAA 22" Silicone Super Sporza (spoiler) & 21" Curved Super Silicone
It seams the 21" Curved has been discontinued & cannot find one literally anywhere in the world!!
Does anyone know if I just bought a standard PIAA silicone refill that it would fit in my current (curved) Bosch wiper arm?
Also, providing this works is the windscreen prep kit needed or will just the new blades be all I need?
Alternatively does anyone have a good experience with a non curved blade on the passenger side?
