2 questions...PAS and windscreen washer bottle

Oh PH fountains of knowledge:

1. Power steering has started making more noise than usual, not just at full lock, but at low speed also now. Just a fluid top up or poss something worse ?

2. Where is the windscreen washer bottle from ? I seem to have lost the cap from mine at some stage and wonder which neighbour's car I need to "borrow" a replacement from. (Joke obviously!)

1. Oh the joys of non-PAS motoring! Still, the resale value will be better.

2. A Tesco 2 litre milk bottle lid is a perfect fit. You even get a choice of red, blue or green.

Had similar on my power steering. Was losing fluid from the U bend below the pump hence the pump was getting noisy when the fluid level got low. Solution was to top up the level and sort the leak.

Why? (Out of interest coz mine is also non-PAS.)

Sorry, it was a slightly ironic post. Still, the common conception is that PAS adds about £1500 to the value of the car. I was told this by James Agger at PH2004 - while not 30m away a Chim sat immobile with a plea for a PAS hose to repair it in the windscreen! Laughed? I nearly did.

As a non-PAS driver I can't see it either, but theres nowt so queer as folk.
