the wife has just informed me a suspension warning light has just come on on the dashboard can anyone advise what this means please

Turn off ignition and restart the car, with any luck you won't get it again. If it persists then a visit to a code reader....

Is the suspension working ok even though the warning light is on? If it is the chances are it will be a compressor fault (fault code will read "gallery pressure slow to increase when compressor is running" unsure of exact 'P' code). You will need a new compressor, relay and software update. There is now a new AMK compressor available from land rover and this also has to have revised software. Best thing is to check with your dealer as there are some vehicles which are being fitted with the new AMK compressor under warranty.
