Wage slip just hit the floor and I've got a £1500 special recognition award in it.
Thing is I can't think of anything I've done to get it, actually to the opposite where I've been off 9 weeks recently through illness and paternity leave so really scratching my head over this.
Wondering if it's likely a mistake and they will be able to take it back in subsequent months.
Annual bonus isn't until feb so it's not that.

Sounds odd; don't spend it just yet. Thing is I can't think of anything I've done to get it, actually to the opposite where I've been off 9 weeks recently through illness and paternity leave so really scratching my head over this.

What if it is an administration error and your boss asks why you didn't mention it? I wouldn't just sit back and wait to be honest.
Exactly. If it is a mistake you wont be able to keep it. If you mention it to your boss now you still probably wont be able to keep it but at least it will show you to be honest. If you keep quite and they realize later it will look suspect.Gassing Station | Jobs & Employment Matters | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
