Anybody Live in Stonehaven?
Discussion
I'm visiting Stonehaven for the Fireballs on New Years Eve. I'm taking a motorhome and was hoping somebody could advise me on where I could park for the night. There doesn't seem to be anywhere official that I could park for the night.
If anybody had any suggestions I would be grateful. Thanks.

Just find somewhere (within reason!) that you fancy and kip there for the night.
It's only for one night, so I can't see you getting any hassle, especially if you choose a sensible location.
Contacting the council was probably a bad idea, because the effective audit trail of communication removes the aforementioned option.

There is a co-op supermarket in the town, could be worth asking permission to park up there overnight, I have heard of supermarkets allowing this on the basis you would be shopping there.
Also a car park at a Kirkton garden centre which you might get away with.
Sorry not a lot of help but I will keep thinking.

The swimming pool has a huge car park - don't imagine there will be too many problems if you're only there for the night? Police will likely be too busy with drunks on Hogmanay to care about one camper van? Also a car park at a Kirkton garden centre which you might get away with.
