28, 2 years no claims. same car - £720. I felt pretty happy with that quote! but £257 is crazy! less than my girlfriend on her fiat punto!

I'm preparing myself to pay £1200 for my 991 Cab. But Manchester is the problem. I am 51. I may have to move to Edinburgh! What is the insurance company may I ask?

God, some good prices on here, especially the OPs!

I'm 35 years old with 11 years mirrored NCD, with Henderson Taylor, who are great by the way.

Last year on my 964 Turbo valued at £25k I paid £299 with my Girlfriend, now wife added on too.

This year on my Mk1 GT3 Clubsport valued at £38k I could have paid £650 without commuting, but I chose to pay £830 ish with commuting. I think that's a bit steep but hey-ho.

I don't even use the car for work, it's a pain even getting it all unlocked and off the drive, but I just like to know I'm covered incase it's a nice night when I'm going in to a nightshift and I already have the car out ready to use.

I'll see what I can do next year.

girlfriend and now wife...soooperb.

The company is Quote Me Happy thru gocompare.com. 49 year old, 6,000 miles a year, wife on policy as well. Only downside is the excess of £500 + £600 voluntary. Only parked in driveway cover though which is ok.

When I bought the car last year i had been looking at M3s, M6s and Z06s...i was getting quotes for ~ £700. There was a pistonhead home page article last Nov on 996 GT2s and i took a punt, entered the details on gocompare and it came back with £350-ish...never looked at an M6 again. i thought there was a delta of £15k twixt GT2 / Turbo, I stay in Scotland where it occasionally rains so 4wd was appealing and the rest is history :-)

igo4 insurance last year for the 996t for £328 and this year they wanted £658..I am a rate tart so just found cheaper.

slightly off track, just had to get first repair and MOT done and used Motortune in Shotts and now wouldnt go anywhere else with a Porsche...the guy is really good.
