My Peugeot 307
Discussion
Well, certainly not one of PH's favourite cars, it's my pride and joy nevertheless.

Right from the beginning I had to set the ground rules of its owneship, so trackday time it was.

(cooling down)
And yes, it used to lean. A lot.
After a while, I realised the brakes were prone to fade. After doing some research, I found out that Peugeot used to equip 307's with two disc sizes: the ones with the 1.4 had 266 mm ones, 2.0 had 283 ones (180 bhp version 302) but some 1.6 had the smaller 266 mm ones and some the larger, 283 mm discs. Mine had the former, so time for new shiny stuff:

On the subject of differentiation during production, most petrol 1.6 hatchbacks were equipped with the MA gearbox. CC and SW versions had the stronger, more reliable BE4 gearbox. There were some hatchbacks that had the BE4 as well, mine is one of the fortunate ones.
Talk about french built...
Anyway, back on topic.
I had to do something about the suspension, so I went for Eibach lowering springs along with the dampers from the 2litre 180bhp CC. That meant that they were a bit stiffer and shorter by about 2.5-3 cm than the stock ones, which meant that they were more suited for the lowering springs.

When I set off for a trip, I usually wash my car before departing. Anyway, having washed it nicely, I arrived at my hotel only to wake up the next morning to see it like this:

Cue for an emergency wash (try explaining that to the girlfriend during a weekend getaway)so that the natural balance of things could be restored...

I took it to the island (Astipalaia, Greece) where I usually go during the summer (10 hour ferry trip) because it would be too expensive to have a POS rental over there... This is the part of the island which I call "Cornwall" :P

Seeing my girlfriend off...

On another island (Kalimnos) which I went to in order to drive on a particular stretch of freshly built, mountain road.

Time for white dials...

Relaxing after a nice drive to a friend's house...

On a RO-RO ferry

Lost somewhere in central Greece while looking for a particular piece of land

Group shot of a mate's and mine rustbuckets...

Holy thread resurrection...
Got to drive my old car again, now on 195k kilometers, which is with my mom nowadays. As luck would have it, while giving it the required italian tuning on the 31st, the exhaust gave out... Good going for 10 or so years, that was the last time it had snapped off at the exact same section.

Managed to find a decent exhaust shop and get the mid section before they closed...

While on the ramp, I gave it a quick once-over, looks like the ARB links need replacing and do explain the knocks going over bumps:

Exterior is a bit tattered now (...thanks mom!) but otherwise still going strong.
