Got a pal who seems to have fuel problems with his 3R. He has proved it's being pumped to the injectors but seems to think they aren't opening. The engine does fire up when he manually pours some fuel into the cylinders so the problem does appear to be at the injectors. Any ideas? He's wondering whether it's an ecu problem.

Spark plugs or ecu, change the spark plugs first as its cheap, failing that send the ecu away to be checked, easy to remove from the engine side of the bulkhead behind the driver seat.

Check there is voltage at the injector electrical connectors while cranking the engine.
If not then it sounds like an ECU fault.

Thanks fellas, it's looking like the ecu. Can they be refurbed and if so, any idea of cost?
