Well posted the ad two days ago... ten minutes later I got a call.

Man from Bristol came to look at the car this afternoon, drove it, and bought it...

I'll be sorry to see the old girl go, but at least she's going to a good home

I think the new owner is a bit of a lurker, but might appear on the forums in the near futre...

Still, got about another week with the S, so the sun better stay shining!

Nooooooooooo - you must be a bit sad to see her go. Still an excellent result and I am sure she will be well looked after.

We regret that Podie cannot answer your kind messages at the moment, but he has been out playing in a certain Cherry Griff all afternoon , and is now out with the lads mulling over what he should buy next (and getting hammered )..

Podie, just doing as bit of catching up after the house move and plugging the laptop in.

Sorry to see that you parted with the S and I wish you the very best and hope that you'll be in the seat of the next one soon.

I hope the small detail of ownership doesn't stop you posting here as it won't be the same without you!

I echo that sentiment, please stay in touch via PH, experience such as yours is great to have around, not to mention the odd knob gag.

Thanks people... the guy who's bought the car is a TVR fanatic by all accounts.. and seems to have owned various cars over the years, so I'm happy to say that I see the car going to a good home

Fantastic weather over the weekend meant I got to have a "goodbye drive" ... I'll sure miss the old girl, she's never let me down and proved that TVR's can be reliable and not overheat

Thanks for the kind offers of blats MUCH appreciated... ukbob, fairly near Raleigh so if you're about drop me a line. Doddze, might just take you up on that offer as well mate (going to need a lift to the meets for a while!).

Rude Girl - thanks for a lovely afternoon... can't beat a V8 soundtrack, country roads, nice lunch and great company

The good (or bad) news is that I'll still be hanging around the S forums... still happy to offer advice, nob gags or whatever...

well done on the sale old love, glad it went so smoothly. It's always better when you know it is going to a good home.

If you ask nicely, Mrs N17 TVR might let you have a drive of "her" car now and then..........would you also mind asking at the same time if I might be allowed one as well

Sorry to hear you've sold her, but at least she's finally going to a good home

Couldn't you have sold one of your kidneys instead? I'm sure they're equally in need of a good home

I can't see how spending all weekend playing with a big red throbbing thing will help with your future finances though?
