just a standard monitor or small general dtv tv will be fine if your events are covered by tsl. you will require a normal household tv areial lead and a selection of the usual adapters aswell.

Tv and a lead to plug into the output on the pit wall usually does it. A computer monitor wont do it as they dont normally have receivers built in.

TSL seem to do live timing for mobile phones these days at most events, so just a smartphone and point it at their website is all thats required.

The ones that have a tv feed do. Some on 13 amp socket some need caravan type adaptor but usually 13amp plug ok

That's about it.

I also carry a small selection of co-axial adaptors (which I don't think we've ever used) and various means of securing the screen (hooks, tyraps, etc) to the pitwall/fencing.

yes

as you'll be trying to read it in bright sunlight ( possibly) some sort of shroud might be an idea though. boss racing ( Tims mate) have a flat screen bolted into one of those aluminium cases with a tripod mount on the bottom that works well

Indeed I have joined the ranks of the certifiably insane Perry silly I doubt I'll be giving you (or anybody else in GpA, GpB, or maybe even GpC for that matter) any trouble in my rookie season! Very much looking forward to the craic though. Can't say too much about which car it is at the moment Perry, in adherence and respect of the wishes of the seller, but all will be revealed in due course (and pretty soon I would imagine, as I am going to become a PITA busting you veterans up for advice no doubt). hehe Please be gentle with me wink
