This was on general before but after looking about on - http://www.whalley-integrale.uk.com/index2.html

This is a 16v right due to the bulge?

Gonna make a cheaky wee offer for it, if it is.

A hpi check said it was 8v but im not too sure it is.

Cant possibly be a evo either can it?

Thing hasnt moved in years but was for sale for £2000 a year ago.
If i was to just buy it for say £1500 could i just sell it on ebay for more?

Checks out as a 7 owner 16V imported into the UK in 1998. Defo not an Evo as it has uneven sized front lamps.

It could be an 8v with a 16v Bonnet fitted! just open the bonnet and take a look! its certainly not an evo.
BTW a few evo's were fitted with that headlight type from new!

Well before i go asking to look about and in it.

Would it be worth my while buying it for 1l-1.5k with the intention to sell it on for a profit?

If engine or something is fked would it be worth anything just for the shell?

Should still be worth around that and have some profit left. Depends on condition of trim, amount of rust, engine condition, be nice if could be heard running however badly.

Must admit the search I did on our trade system says it is a 16V but also said it was 185 bhp which is the 8V output. The HF Integrale badge on the front grille suggests 8V, the bonnet suggests 16V, it's defo not an Evo, don't think they Evos in that colour either

Yeh the bonnet is what is confusing me.

As far as i can tell that bonnet is 16v only.

But on a hpi check it said it was 8v.

Much value differnce between 8v and 16v?

Value really depends whats wrong with it! you have to ask why its laid up off the road!(which i assume it is?) If its rotted out then breaking for spares is an option and if you have the time to do so could make a return on your £1500. If you are buying to put on the road then you could easily throw 5k+ sorting it out! think you really need to look and see what you are getting into.

There are plenty on here who will rave about 8v's. Theres nothing wrong with them and shouldn't be a reason not to buy it!

The guy who owns it has been living in a caraven beside his half renovated house for a good few years now. I assume he either has low funds or works offshore so isnt home much.

Car hasnt moved in the 3 years ive seen it.
Well i lie it moved from 1 part of the garden to accross the road for a month when he had a for sale sign on it.
Year ago he was asking £2000 for it and no takers so i assume he will accept less for it *if* he is still willing to sell.

If it is rusted to fk worth it just to sell spares and such?

Agreed! Not sure why i didn't suggest it was a kat as i owned one a few years ago! mine was a 91 8v kat which is based on the 16v !

Should have 8v or 16v integrale badges (black background red writing) on the cill covers.

Ah scrap that idea, just looked at photos of mine "HF integrale" is what they say.

The difference between an 8v and a 16v..... about 8 valves? ;-)

Go on just poke your head under the bonnet.

From what I can see from that pic, the fog lights tell you it's a 16v not Evo, the bonnet looks also like 16v with the lump, could as been said be a Swiss 8v.
If it has been standing for so long could have some rust issues, if not and the car is pretty sound, on the right market you would deffinately double your money to an enthusiast/restorer. wink

8V Swiss Kat. Loads have been imported over the years. Bargepole springs to mind if you are on a budget and also 18yrs old-insurance alone will cripple you.
