Has anyone tried using these yet? i bought a full set back in March for the family bus and after 8k miles of school and shopping runs they all need replacing. The tracking has been checked and is ok. They have worn fairly evenly across all four.
Am i alone in this or have other people had this problem?

Stop/start mileage with plenty of manouvres typical of driving locally will always tax your tyres more than normal.
This driving pattern has a significant impact on tyre wear.

The weight of the family bus probably has a lot to do with it too.

Toyos tend to be fairly soft, I wouldn't expect to get a long life from them.

Get some R888s last for ages and amazing in the wet and snow...

From my reading they seem to be dry weather tyres and rather sporty.

Try the T1R. I had some on the back end of my old MR2 Turbo and they lasted for ages. Eventually sold the wheels with about 14000 miles on them and there was still a good 5mm tread left.

I had Toyo TR1 on my Mk4 Astra. Superb except they were worn out, front to back, after 12k.

They are the correct load rating for the car and the last set of T1 Rs managed 18K on the back of my 328 BMW. They are not just a bit worn, they really do need changing now!

I had a set on the z4, I had to take them off at 1500 miles and 6 weeks as they were nearly on the wear bands(rear wheels), the last bridgestones lasted 20 months and 10000 miles, just to prove a point I put some Nankang ns2 on the rear and they have done 1500 miles and there still at 7 and a bit mm. Tracking checked at 2 places and it was only 2 mm out overall which is nothing.
Garbage!

I bought a set for my Volvo S40 T4. It's a fairly heavy saloon with 200bhp. Fronts especially didn't last all that long, but the Toyos just melted away like ice cream in the sun yikes

Looking round the net, the information says they're way too soft, with very soft / compliant sidewalls too, to give great grip on lighter cars. Certainly no good for anything other than a one-tonne hatchback I'd say.

I've learned my lessons with tyres now anyway. I never fit anything other than Michelin PS3's. Had them on everything from my 911 to my current Octavia VRS. Give amazing wet and dry grip, last forver. Can't ask for more. Expensive, yes, but - you do get what you pay for!

Sounds about right for the T1-S. They pre-date the T1-R and are pretty soft.

I had a set of Toyo Proxes fitted to my Eunos Roadster....they gripped really well but wore out within 5K miles.

I'm on Avon's now and back to rear end mayhem in the wet!!!

Spoken to Trading Standards. who advised that the supplier is responsible under the Sales of Goods Act. So far we have reached a compromise, a new set of P Zeros at cost and the the old worn tyres are going back to TOYO.
