Work servers are getting stricter. Any chance off a stickie somewhere, re thread titles?
Discussion
Only that I've noticed this more frequently recently. Clearly, others have too hence asking for thread title amendments. Just this afternoon, I was browsing the 'TT Hardcore' thread and boy did the alarm bells start going off!!! A call from IT later and all was explained but it does become logged as an 'infringement'. It's quite impossible that PH will ever be a banned site for the international Conglomorate/motor sales/motor racing etc company that I work for but many may not be so lucky. Just thought I'd offer a 'head up' etc.
A wonderful example of the futility of web filtering. On the flip side I could probably still send you a load of porn that'd get through (don't worry I won't).
Of course that doesn't so much help you're current situation. But filtering words as benign as 'hardcore' is going to be difficult.
I've often wondered if they could have custom levels of filters on here. That is you could have a version of the forums with absolutely everything cleaned up but also some flag that would allow others to see the current setup or an unfiltered version. I've posted before that I think usage of *the* c-word has gone up greatly since people know it'll just get filtered out. And seeing as you can still see it when you quote it's a bit ungentlemanly really.
For all those who lament the nanny state it's a bit rubbish to see it so strictly enforced on here.

Definitely worth letting us know as it's always worth knowing what the corporate world are doing.
Trouble is, the type of cars we feature will occasionally be described as hardcore, stripped out, balls-out etc and then you have unfaired motorbikes which are called naked...the list goes on.
PH forum content will always be scrutinised for porn/ graphic/ explicit content and we are hard on NSFW content for the very reasons you describe, we don't hesitate to remove this type of content.
As said though, we appreciate you letting us know as its food for thought

Yeah I was getting the "hardcore" titled thread blocked at work. In my case I was able to just delete the "thread title" from the URL and the remaining URL with the thread number in worked fine. I'm sure there's a reason why the title appears in the URL, but excluding it would sure help me out sometimes!
