Been thinking about this today. How long do you think it will be before we have the option of watching each race from your driver of choices car? Live and post race?

We have people at track days etc filming their otings so it would be really easy to offer the same for F1 etc.

If they released a post race download/stream i think that would be quite good to watch.

Am i alone or is it out there already?

Doesn't Sky coverage offer this option already? I've not used it myself but I'm sure a mate was discussing being able to choose cars to go onboard the other day...

Yep - it's on SKY's F1 package this year but it was first offered on Sky Digital Coverage (6-8yrs ago) and has been on the Kangaroo/Fanvision TV handsets at races.

It's pretty interesting to watch one driver do every lap (though they tend to swap around a bit )
I watched a re run of Abu Dhabi with onboard of Vettel for the first 25 laps. Different experience

So you can go back through and watch the races, parts of it or the whole thing, from one or another drivers view?

I watch a huge amount of youtube videos and the in car stuff is second to none. It'd be great to be able to relive each race from different driver's views on a different day.

When it's live and you choose between them, you miss out if you're not on the right driver at the right time. Post race, full downloads/streams of each driver's race would be great IMO.

SKY replay the full interactive race in the following days, so you can watch it with all the bells and whistles. I think there's 9 feeds in all - pitlane is the one I tend to have on the Ipad so I have an ear piece and listen to all the extra pit to car radio you get and then have the main stream on the TV.

The only thing is that the extra feeds (red button) aren't in HD and you can't record them.

I watch most of the races in-car now, with LOUD sound through hifi, plus bbc commentary through tv.

Watching this way you really start to get a sense of the work involved, the speed and how close the racing is.

Would love to be able to switch cars on demand plus front/rear facing cameras.

How do you deal with the sky picture being quite a way behind the BBC commentary ?

Don't the BBC offer something similar online whilst you're watching or have I mis-heard during the coverage?
