when i enquired to douglas valley about prices they said the very earliest cerbie 4.2 engines (ie the least desirable) would go for no less than 5.5k gb pounds. All of a suddent doesn't look so good a project when you factor 25 hours of labour into it..
I'd argue a cerbie with no engine is only worth 6k at this age .. with straight examples of 1996 cars in the trade only fetching 10-11k it all gets a bit silly.

I agree with joo, not worth it. 4k and I'll buy it!!!
I mean, the car is the engine, without that, its an 8 year old tubular chassis (god knows the real condition of it).... and seized engine? why? when? maybe the whole drivetrain is buggered???? etc etc...
I saw a Jag XKR with just body damage for sale at 11k... I'd go for that.... drop the car in to a bodyshop spend another 2-3k on it, and for 14k you got a Jag XKR with 25k on the clock and only a few years old... sorted!

IDEAS!!!!!

Bellhill have a 4.2 engine complete less ecu for £4k.

They've also got a couple of complete Griffith 500 engines for the same money. Now that would be an interesting conversion.....

And there is always RT Racing's M3 into a Cerbera conversion......
