Guys,

Have seen a Steinhart watch but can see very little on the web regards quality / value etc, have seen this and was wondering what the PH view on these was ?

I like this one in particular:

Can't comment on that model but I used to own this one, I only flipped it to raise funds for something else.

Well made and - going by my experience and others - extremely well regulated, they tend to be the go-to brand for Rolex homages.

They also get recommended when someone is after a Submariner omaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggge. Beyond that I have no personal experience.

Nice looking watch though - and not at all what I normally like. What's it a copy of?

I've had four Steins now.

Flipped them all but they are well made great feel when on.

Homage is Homage but they do a good job at it.

I've got an Ocean One LV (Sub homage). Very nice watch for the price, and way better than the Chinese sub-alikes. I've got the real thing, too, and I'd say the Steinhart is 90% of the watch for less than 10% of the price.

Not keen on the Bell&Ross Aviation styling, but that's just personal taste. If you like it, buy it.

I had the Nav B Chrono II a good looking watch, which perforemed very well. Go for it, you shouldn't be disapponted.

Ocean One is my everyday watch, and like clockworks above, I own a real sub too.

My Ocean One is great and I'd recommend to anyone. There was a relatively recent thread about Steinhart so a short trawl back a page or two will find it.

I have just bought my third Steinhart, an Ocean One Green, 2 weeks ago and it hasn't left wrist. Just loving it. The accuracy is +1 sec after 2 weeks. I was toying with the idea of getting a Submariner LV but couldn't bring myself to drop £4.5k on one where I picked the Steinmit for fraction of the price. I also have a Rolex Milgauss GV.

been looking up on them for a while as have always fancied one for the price, yet to hear a bad word about them and have read quite a few times where people have taken them into a watch shop for a service and they came back with positive comments and the quality and VFM offered, even seems they are on the CW forum sometimes more than a CW watch!

quite fancy one of these, and it doesn't appear to be a homage:

I have an Ocean GMT, Ocean 44 Black and an Ocean Vintage plus a Rolex Sub Date.

I actually prefer wearing the Steinharts as they are bigger than the Sub, 42mm vs 40mm, the Ocean GMT is a great everyday watch.

I've got one, a nav b. I love it to bits and wear it on an almost daily basis and it hasn't missed a beat yet, the leather straps are also very good quality. The customer service was very good; they were very good with communication and also chucked in a deployant buckle for free. I'd recommend them.

Used to have an Ocean One, but sold it. I just didn't wear it, I probably had it on for 10 days in total before selling it on. Why didn't I wear it? Possibly as I had other watches I preferred. They are however well made watches.
