Hi, I'm in the process of taking out my dash to get the leather re done
Anyone got any tips on this, it doesn't look like there is much play in the wiring of the instruments and I don't want to mess anything up as at the moment everything works.

Do all the wires disconnect from the back of the instruments fairly easily? i don't want to force anything and as there not much space it is difficult to see.

Any help would be much appreciated.

No need to disconnect the instruments. They are all wired up to multiplugs that you'll find around the steering column or behind the switches in the centre console. Unplug the multiplugs and take the dash out with the instruments and their wiring still attached.

NOTE - that's not true for my early wedge (1982 2.8). It's one of those all wired in black. Whilst the steering col DOES have multiplugs, some of the dash instruments seem to be wired directly into the main loom, so you would have to label those spade connectors.... although I reckon there's only 5 or 6 of those, so still not too bad overall.
