Recommend me a Fiat dealer
Discussion
Here we go again.
I want to buy a small car for the city. Historically I've been a Porsche/Audi/VW/Land Rover customer. You phone a dealer, you tell them your ideal spec, they search the national stock, they find a car that matches close enough, you buy it. Generally, they find the car within a couple of hours, and you can have it on your drive in a week or two at most.
Now I want a Fiat 500. So I phone a Fiat dealer and say "Find me a manual 595 Turismo in record grey with red leather, sunroof and interscope". He says "I don't have one in stock." I say "I know. Check the national stock." Radio silence.
I phone another Fiat dealer. I say the same thing. He says "What's a 595 Turismo?". I hang up.
Can anybody recommend a vaguely entrepreneurial Fiat dealer, preferably - but not necessarily - somewhere in or near London? One that actually knows what cars they sell and is capable of talking to HQ?

Also remember that not all dealers are in the same dealer group so 'get me one from national stock' doesnt actually work as if the stocks not in their dealer network then they can't get it 9 time out of 10.
Thames Fiat on Bath Road Slough have a big Abarth presence (Approved dealer) they would be a good shout, but remember you are looking for a very narrow spec, there won't be many that match available at any given time. 3 of my work friends have bought from there and all had hassle free experiences.

As has already been mentioned it's an Abarth dealer you need not a fiat mainline dealer, and the chances of the exact model being in stock will be slim as the Abarth line up don't tend to be hugely stockpiled. (Infact I think there maybe less than ten 595's in stock UK wide, and I would be betting that they won't have the red leather)
