Our V12VR is home!!!!!

Well eventually the floods in the SW subsided and we got to go and get the new Beast. Beautiful sunshine when we arrived at Grange but temperatures hovering about 4C - so just right for my first drive on Corsa's!
Lloyd had her in the showroom under an AM cover and there was a very dramatic unveiling to show our fantastic looking new car. The metallic fleck in Tungsten Silver is just amazing to look at in the sun and we seemed to spend ages just looking at her - beautiful! We are absolutely delighted with the spec we chose (as I am sure every other owner will be) and will hopefully be keeping her for years. Lloyd took us through all the info on the car and then we got a chance to go for a drive. Roof down, warm jacket and bobble hats on off we went. The noise was sublime, the admiring looks from pedestrians as we went past topped anything we had experienced in our other Astons - what a thrill. The ice warning light came on soon after we left the garage but didn't stop us taking the long way home! The only time my heart missed a beat was when we came round a corner to see a gritter coming the other way
By the time we got home it was nearly dark so the only picture I have at the moment is one I took just after she was unveiled. I'll try to get some more done when we are back after the weekend.
The whole process of buying our car has just been fantastic from the excitement of the model being announced through to choosing the spec and visiting the factory to see her being made. Ours thanks to Lloyd and Grange for making it happen - oh and Aston Martin of course for producing the car I have dreamed of owning for years and thought would never happen. We feel very lucky and privileged to have her sat at home in our garage.
P.S. We had to pop back to Grange to pick up my wife's very dirty RRS which she had left there so we could both go for the first drive together and when we got back we didn't recognise it - they had given it a good clean whilst we were away - how great was that!!!!

Yes, Tungsten is a special colour. I was struck by how huge the flake looks in the sunshine. Nice to see you’ve got your AMOC badge proudly displayed on the grille. Sticking with the username? Or have you still got the DB9?
I think it was a Carbon Black but no lightweight seats although it did have a B&O sound system. I'll be speaking to Lloyd and get the VIN for you. However, a warning - I was meant to take a memory stick with me today because he has taken some pictures of the car - and I forgot! Perhaps I should still have a DB9

Yep still up for doing that. Grange have sold 2 in the SW and I believe the other one will be in the Bath area - so your hances of seeing one have just doubled. Called in today to collect some pictures Lloyd had taken for me. Looked at the V12V. It is Carbon Black (not CB edition) with sports seats, CF pack, black grill but no B&O sound. VIN is 1115. Looks a great car.
Hi Ian, thanks for the info on this one. It's really difficult to pick up new unregistered cars for my Register as they're not advertised online. Could you pm me Lloyd's email address so I can request the spec sheet?
