After much deliberation over what my first "proper" car should be, I eventually settled on a 350z.
I didn't buy the first one I saw, but the second!

She is a little older than I was looking for (initially was looking for an 07+ with the revised engine. But it was love at first sight and I had to have it!

54 plate with 60k on the clocks.
When I bought it it had already had a couple of mods.

Japspeed K2 backbox
JWT pop charger intake
Carbon engine cover
Carbon front bumper cover.

In the last few weeks I have also added;

BC racing coilovers
Eibach 20/25mm wheel spacers
Eibach camber/toe correction arms.
Pirelli Pzero tyres front and rear
Full fast road alignment.

It was a gift to myself for my 21st in July and I'm over the moon with my purchase, certainly a step up from a diesel golf!

Been to the ring:

And how she sits after the suspension and geo set up

Averaging 18mpg, but that may have something to do with my driving and the addictive V6 noise...

Looks great. Dont change the wheels, the Optional Rays wheels on these were perfect!

I remember the first year with mine, barely got over 18mpg myself hehe

Managing about 24 on average now that I've got got over the initial enthusiasm.

You have a very similar setup to me as far as airflow goes. If you like the noise it makes now I'd recommend getting some HFCs and a straight through Y-pipe fitted. You get almost the same noise under 3000 revs but when you go over the roar really kicks in yum

Tried an 08 car last year and liked it, previously had e36/46 m3's
