Thoughts? (W126 whoring)

Brilliant car! I tried to buy one back in the 80's but the finance (not a co director or powerfully built!) payments were about £600... a week!

Brilliant cars though and go well.

They should be either stock or widebody and if the latter they should have Pentas or 3-piece AMGs.

I love them both in wide body and stock too, but these modifications are period correct (Zender body kit & Borbet A wheels).

These big coupes are rare enough to raise a smile whenever I see one . Having said that , it's the same with 124s , 129s and all 126s for me .

In my fantasy garage, there is a 560 SEC and a 560 SEL. The car above is a C126 by the way, not a W126.

Just done the very sensible and logical thing of buying a w126 from england unseen. I've decided to expect a bucket of bolts and anything better will be a bonus

I have always loved them and intend to use it as a daily in the summer. Proper presence, well built, easy spannering and while it may cost more on upkeep there's no payments/depreciation/electronic things about to fry themselves. Will pop a thread into readers cars when it arrives!

Just a lowly 300se. A v8 would have been great but this looked to be on the best condition and I have experience of that 3.0 engine which is very easy to work on.
