Car wash that sells cars...
Discussion
I was hoping to look at this car the other day...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Yaris-1-5-VVT-i-T...
When I got on the street I couldn't find the place, I called the number and a guy just answered the phone with a "hello", I asked if this was the garage and that I couldn't find them, then he said "we are the car wash".
The car seems to be a minter looking at the listing, I couldn't view the car as he was bringing it back from the MOT and I didn't have time to hang around.
Does it sound dodgy, a car wash also being a car dealer? Don't want to miss a good car due to paranoia but it seems a bit odd...
Cheers.

It isn't the first instance of a car wash selling cars
(since most new car wash places seem to be former forecourts)
Just treat them as a private seller and look the vehicle over closely and you shouldn't be out of pocket.
Saying all that, it is an 11 year old car, you could find younger for the price

Another local-ish person!
Personally, I would give it the benifit of the doubt and have a look at the very least if you are local. Last thing you want to do is not see it, get a different car and regret the other car.
There is a car wash in Southport which operates at the back of a dealership but sells its own cars now and again, turns out people get their cars washed and some mention selling it and the owner buys the car to try and make a little extra profit for the car wash business.

Both hand car washes I can picture without straining my grey matter sell cars as a side line, I've seen it in plenty of places and thought it was fairly common. Not saying that means it's a good place to buy from though but I'd certainly look at a car there on its merits. Why not take a look?

Bad advice. If they're operating from trade premises, treat them as a trader and expect them to comply with the law regarding warranties etc.
Edit to add:...especially as they trade as a Limited Company. They're Trade all right...

"Treat them as a private seller" as in look everywhere and believe nothing.
However if they are selling from the forecourt they are a dealer and so as 'little red' says they must comply with associated laws..
