Best spotted ever..... Epernay...
Discussion
Avenue de Champagne... about 1130, Saturday 4th September... my Chim was parked up on the other side of the road and we were checking out the maison Laurent Perrier as the five of you rumbled up... We were the waving idiots shouting hello as you pulled over briefly. Hope you got to the free Champagne tasting in the Office de Tourism.
We got spotted
At 11.30 we were leaving Mercier heading south for the Cote de Blanc and some of the best roads (and champagne houses) I can remember. One of the hi-lights for me was staying in the champagne house and waking up to the views over-looking the vineyards. The photos are ace, especially of the entertainment at the Reims circuit. I can't wait to see Dave's photos so I'd better get on and complete the write up for the website.
Hope you had a great time in the champagne region too!

Yes - that was us lot !
2 * Chim
1 * Griff
1 * 400 SE
1 * 450 SEAC
Did not see you though.. sorry.
You should have popped over and said hello![]()
I think we were visiting Mercier.
I certainly would have said hello if you'd stopped long enough... It was just outside Laurent Perrier and you paused just briefly enough for whoever was driving the Griff to wave regally at us as he pulled away again.
We'd spent the previous two weeks down south and had stopped the previous day in Beaune, and that day in Epernay for "essential provisioning" en route back home ....
Didn't see a single Tiv the whole time then five come along at once...
p.s. I thought it would be easy to track down who it was from your plate, which is not immediately forgettable.
p.p.s As I'm sure you're aware, it was quite a sight (and sound)...

The most impressive thing for me - was allowing my G/F to drive my SEAC thru the grandstand at the old Reims racetrack.. she went thru at 130 .. just changing into 5th at that point ..
The noise was just incredible.
It is my great regret that I decided to take a photo (from 3 feet away) and did not use my video camera..

. With any luck, Steve can post it on the website tonight. I even included the "spotted" moment.
Karen
The phots are now up, I apologies for some many similar photos, but I have not had time to weed them out.
