Evening
Can anyone tell me what the worse and best fuel consumption would be for 2lt Impreza sport R driven carefully and as they should be driven ie: enthusiastically fast!!

I'd have said somewhere between 35 at best driven granny style down to 18-20 driven enthusiastically. If it was turbo i would expect to see somewhere between 5-10mpg driven like a loon say on a trackday biggrin

It's a non turbo 2lt GX Sport,
There's one for sale near to me, it's a 2004 with 44000 miles fsh, all sounds good apart from fuel consumption,23 mpg around town is that right?

I used to have a 2.0 GX, it was not good on fuel. To be honest you might as well get a turbo if you can afford the insurance !

It wouldn't surprise me. The boxer engine is not known for good MPG. Get a turbo, cos at least that way youll smile about the shocking fuel consumption wink
Bought my 06 WRX last week, couldn't even tell you the mpg, I'm not keeping an eye on it as I know i'll cry, brilliant fun though!

I've got that model. I get about 32 on a good week when I've just done boring 50mph commuting to work on a dead straight A-road stuck in a queue behind a gas tanker. It drops to about 20 - 23 on a fun weekend though.

A WRX will cost little more to buy and around town, you'll get that same 23mpg. If you're getting your feet into a Subaru, it may as well hav a turbo!
