does anyone have any detailed pictures of how these mount? i have been struggling on my own all day and havent got a single piece in the correct position.
im running an sbd dry sump and force racing exhaust.
some of the parts have what looks like a 10mm bush so im assuming these pick up the top mounts which are m10 x 1.25
but others have what seems to be m12 bushes. there is also a small traingle with 2x small threads and 2x stainless plates.
any help would be greatly appreciated. its hard to know how much of a tilt to fit the engine on and how much ground clearence. also looks like the dry sump pan sits way out of level. cheers

Daniel

I'm sorry you are having difficulty. I got your text earlier this afternoon but have been out walking with the kids and the dog.

Its quite straight forward. I'll take some pictures later and send them over to you.

Everything is supplied in the kit ready for you to adapt your own chassis. The mounts just make sure its all in the correct place an with the correct alignment.

Other than DaveK on here and myself no one else has these mounts yet. I have a number of other in the process though

just a quick update here. it seems the problem was me (or my car) after all. the reason i couldnt make anything fit was due to my car having a long cockpit, and the busa install must be on a standard cockpit. nothing wrong with the mounts, just need to modify the passenger footwell and all should be good! cheers. thanks for the pictures simon

Dan

I hope the pics I sent this morning allow you to work out what needs to be done.

You will though have to shorten the passenger foot well. This is why you could not get it to fit.

Good to see a happy ending and posting that the product is actually fine, Looks like Simon went above and beyond to help solve the issue as well

Don't you mean long footwell, and not cockpit?
They haven't made short cockpit cars for years.

I'll try and take a few more close ups of the mounts to chassis pick up points over the next few days.

1982 was the first long cockpit model. Offered as an option, but not sure when the short cockpit was phased out.
I just looked it up in Chris Rees's book.
It's the angle of the rear bulkhead that makes it either a long or short cockpit, not the foot box.
Anyway, glad you got it sorted.
