Folks,
I'm back in the UK and fancy trying some new stuff with my photography.
I want to try some daytime long exposures on the cheap, hence the welding glass.
I've read a lot of guides, but just wondered where you folks buy the actual glass.
Where is the best place? A particular Ebay shop? Website? A local place?

I found this recommended elsewhere, is this OK?

Thanks in advance.

I have no idea but seems cheap enough.

Interesting concept though, you should post the results whether they are good or bad!

There's a vast thread on TalkPhotography with lots of examples.
My original inspiration actually.
AndWhyNot posted a great image the other day taken with 3 quid welding glass so that made me finally pull my finger out and get started.
hehe

There is a thread on here with loads of examples somewhere.

Interested to know how you get on as I could never get a decent focus, no matter what I tried.

You should focus without the filter, then switch to manuel otherwise it will hunt. Then add your filter and snap away. smile

Set a custom white balance as the welding glass will give a strong colour cast.

Thanks everyone.
I've blown £4 on 3 pieces (Shades 9, 10 and 11) on FleaBay with free postage.
Will have to post some test shots when I've had chance to try!
