Am able to get myself a Snooper (edited because remembered thats the one it is) at a little over cost price, just wondering which model you suggest to go for. Also, is there any "add ons" for laser or laser jamming?? If so any chance of a recommendation. Cheers lads.

Having been testing some "other systems" recently I have noticed many drivers have the Road Angel optional detector module, lets just say even if I point the laser gun dircetly at the remote detector module nothing happens whatsoever on every single one I have seen five or six so far. Even the main unit has trouble going off at anything other than a hit from a few meters.

This is only my opinion, but I am in a position to test them properly, I'm not knocking the rest of the product but it does not do what its supposed to do - eg warn you of a laser alert.

SLD 920's are prooving very effective btw, a wise investment.

Hey Cpt, I keep meaning to ask you. Where on earth did you get a radar gun?

Thanks a lot for the advice but to be honest its all a bit over my head. I dont understand how they work. I just work for a company which sells Snoopers so I will get one cheap so was wondering which model would be the best and how much it retails at.

So you were talking about a radar jammer?? How much would one of them be in the shops, we dont sell them unfortunatly

IMHO I would suggest you order a Snooper SLD 920X as you work for them, (about £280 retail I think) Have the strange effect of me not being able to clock a speed reading using my laser gun, very handy (It emits infra red signal so it's not radar btw.

Might as well buy a gps camera locator too & that should have you completely sorted. (it tells you where they are)

Where did I get it my Laser Gun?, after lots of searching for almost a year.....Greek Ebay of all places, but it's an ex CHiPs according to the label. Now officially de-commsioned but still very much in use

I dont work for Snooper, just a company who stocks snooper. I will have a look for that one in the stock room, and what model of the standard "gatso" detector would you recommend, 3 levels IIRC??

I'm not familiar with the GPS models, but with the 920x model acting as a detector & a jammer you'll only need a basic GPS unit.

Do NOT get a Snooper SD815iS Ben!!!! What a pile of crap! Worst £200 i EVER spent! I never have it in the car now, it's constant bleeping and flashing just pi**es me off!

Whatever you're going for i would recommend a GPS based thing that costs big money. Or just raise your vision and don't drive fast on roads you don't know, it's just not worth the risk nowadays however much you enjoy driving fast.......

Ive had no problems with the snooper s4. Dont bother with the radar head for it its crap. The S4 itself is excellent. Paid ’290 for mine
