As the weather is now getting blooming cold. I'm starting to drive the wife's mini more instead of the caterham. I have noticed that the heater isn't getting nowhere near as warm as it used to, in fact it's barely Luke warm even after a 20mile drive. Last winter the heater would get really toasty and warm up quickly in that distance.

It had the water pump recall earlier in the year, it's also had the thermostat changed under warranty not long after at the local BMW dealer.

Before I give the car back to MINI yet again I thought I would ask here to see if I can rectify the problem. I was thinking it could be an airlock maybe but surely that would cause cooling problems.

Cheers

Adam

P.s. whilst on the subject of the heater. Could somebody tell me what the rubber pipe underneath is which blows air out. I noticed it when it was on the ramp during its mot a couple of weeks ago.

Well I'm not too sure about the heater problem. I would guess an airlock as well. But I can tell you that the rubber pipe is a drain for the air-conditioning. Let's all the water that build up on the condenser out of the car.
