Is it possible to trace a vehicle when HPI etc. state that the VRM cannot be found?

I also checked on the DVLA website, and they have no record either.

I'm assuming the car has been written off - but I would like to find out if it has been?*

Thanks.

  • this is just idle curiosity - the car belonged to my O/H and she was wondering if it's still about.
It was a minty '94 BMW 525i Sport for the curious...

Ask Mid will tell you if int insured but not sure if they use the DVLA's database or something else.

I am not aware of any such database. Many individuals have tried. Other then the DVLA/VOSA I know if no such database and that can only be accessed for a genuine and valid reason eg accident involving the vehicle.

No help at all but that does seem to be the case good luck.

Not showing up on the DVLA website would be consistent with it having been scrapped.

HPI it with the chassis number, rather than the reg, it will allow for reg changes
