Just bought a lexus from a main dealer and today when the car was being detailed I find out the inside of the front tyres are smooth and there are cracks between the tread. Advice? Car was dropped off last tuesday

what do you mean smooth? below legal?

If just the inside, car probably has other issues such as suspension/geometry.

Should have checked this before agreeing the deal and again on delivery, too late now.

If it is only the inner edge then they are probably still legal, replace the front tyres and get the tracking checked.

You might find though that your car will wear the tyres inner edges, German saloon cars are particularly bad for this I don't know about Lexus though.

Err .....I'm in sales and an ex-car salesmen, however not sure what thats got to do with it? Assuming you signed for the car, you agreed to accept the car and therefore the condition of it at the time of handover. The dealer may be prepared to address the issue, however don't be surprised if they don't.

He just responded to my email. Two new fronts will be sent down to me with a mobile fitter. Is calling me tomorrow to schedule.

Job done. Should never have doubted them.

Michelin or Bridgestone for the IS-F???

In which case, that suggests they knew all along. I assume they agreed to this without seeing the car again?

Do bear in mind that Lexus tend to be know for exceptional after sales service, they might actually trust the customer...
