Arghh! Throttle pedal aggro
Discussion
I tried changing my pedals to the nice shiny Leven s/steel ones on Saturday, what a nightmare!
The clutch pedal took me ages as just as it grips the thread it hits the carpet when you spin the pedal and this knocks it out of the thread, the brake is thankfully a doddle, but the throttle pedal, how on earth are you supposed to get at the cable! you need a very small child to get a hand up to the cable. I was too cold and getting frustrated so had to leave it.
I assume one you get the pedal pivot undone (itself a nightmare) you can pull the cable low enough to reach?

There they look great and give more flexibility
But the throttle is a right s
t I removed the seat and got upside down in the foot well
Remove all the other peddles and do the throttle first but it's not easy
I had to file the arm bush cuz it was to tight to work
The instructions say that's it an afternoons work
But it took me 2 whole days good look

I can't believe how long ago I first posted this but I finally had the time to swap to the Leven throttle pedal this weekend. I say "I" did, but in reality I had to get the wife to do some of it as its such a pain to get at the cable end of the pedal.
After many hours of work I was gutted to find that it actually brings the throttle pedal slightly closer to me which was the opposite of what I was trying to do, D'oh!
I can't be the only gangley Cerb owner that needs more legroom on the throttle?
I spoke to the Leven folks this morning, very nice chap offered a refund but I don't want this, I want more legroom!
I'm thinking I need to chop the pedal, reduce the angle it kinks out at and re-weld, although this will bugger up the angle of the boss at the bottom the pedal plate screws into, so will have to chop and weld this as well, anyone done this before?

how tall are you!?
im 6'2 and if I had my seat all the way back I couldn't reach the pedals! (leven ones)

I'm 6'2 as well but have long legs, short body. I have a later Cerb with the Tuscan seats, is yours the earlier or later seats? could that have an impact?im 6'2 and if I had my seat all the way back I couldn't reach the pedals! (leven ones)

My right leg aches on a journey due to the contorted angle its at and the lack of thigh support from the Tuscan seat. More legroom should solve both in one go, lowering my leg and allowing it to touch the seat base.
I was asking about changing the seats recently, I need to visit a trimmer first, just struggle with time do these things.
interesting, I have had the original seats in mine and then swapped it to the t350 seats a while after. With both of them I never had a problem.
this might be a stupid question, but the seat is going all the way back on the runners? Could be worth popping the seat out just to check?
with the levens I know you can extend the pedals, but I don't think it would make them shorter (if that makes sense
worse case I would be tempted to modify the seat runners to get more space

Not a stupid question and yes its going back as far as possible but it wouldn't hurt for me to take a closer look in case it was modified in the past to move further forward for a more vertically challenged person. The clutch and brake are fine, if I drive barefoot in the summer they are perfect and not at full adjustment for max legroom, its just the throttle. Obviously I just need to mash it to the carpet more this might be a stupid question, but the seat is going all the way back on the runners? Could be worth popping the seat out just to check?
