4.3L TVR heads and inlet manifold.

Depends on what you conisder to be pricey, a matched and CCd set of Stage III heads by V8D come in around £750 and AFAIK they are pretty much up to any road engine application. Match these with a Ported Manifold (£200ish) and bigger trumpets (45mm Ali are just fine @ £200ish) and you on the way to getting close the power figures TVR quoted for the engines IMHO.

saw some stage 3 heads on ebay the other week looked very good went for just under £500.00.
steve....
Silly money IMHO, why pay £500 off ebay for an unknown quality when you can pick up a set of the better flowed and matched ones for not a lot more.

Hmm do not quote me but these were a pair done from v8 developments alegedly, managed to weld repair mine or i would have bid
there are some bargains on ebay some times
You need to see what you are buying. Plenty of so called ported heads have only been tickled with a flap wheel and still have the long stock valve guides. TVR heads have much better porting, proper porting imho. That's where they invested money and time in the engines. The rest of the motors are usually quite stock.
Peter Burgess also does excellent heads but you have to wait a very long time to get to the front of his queue
