New body?

Hoover is also looking to do another chassi with the engine rotated 90 degrees....

pretty sure thats not a noble chassis though... and its madness not to do your chassis in chromoly, mine is and its not that much more expensive.

I might just take the money and sell my noble and by a Gallardo instead - which it reminds me of.

I suspect it will cost more than I originally paid for my car lol.... but will be worth it IMO, ive spent many times more than what I bought it for modifying it to be unique, this will be the ultimate

Hi mates, long story on how this came to be.

1. It was a replacement body for my own noble race car, dv. Just in case we have an on track accident and have to repair body panels.
2. A customer of mine, is having us repair a noble that caught on fire. He decided to upgrade bodies instead of repair.
3. I was asked if I could sell an entire car. I have tooling for chassis and decided to build with chromoly.
4. Lee Noble gave me the specifications to rotate the engine like his race car. I am looking into the new ecoboost engine and gear box options for a true mid engine transaxle,
5. According to the digital model, it does fit on our current chassis. We may have to weld on mounting tabs.

I am almost done with 3d modeling and will be machining in 3 weeks. Estimated 700 hours of machining necessary to complete this body.

It does however make me wonder why Noble didn't further develop the M400 and keep it within the reach of more people rather than cross the rubicon and develop the M600 which is beyond the reach of most people?

Because every M12 made was effectively made at a loss and that wasn't likely to change.

not like Rossion is achieving much. The car has is revamped , good looking , and still they sell next to nothing.

That's exactly my point Phil. With very few cars sold, they would struggle to break even never mind turn a profit but as the design and tooling is already there, for every new derivative built around the same chassis and transmission (as is being done by Hoover and was done by Rossion) it would have enabled them to recoup their investment and yield a margin.

The m600 price point is far beyond the reach of most. That is an entirely new demographic and even smaller volume.

I'm machining a new fast back and if it weren't for that, I would have started on this new body already. I hope to be finished with the full body by February.

My company is much smaller in comparison to noble at their peak. I keep things simple and will sell this car to people that can build themselves, if they should choose. Maybe, I can find a u.k. Dealer for the panels?

I will blog the install on to my noble once the panels are completed and run a few races.

It is a noble chassis. Will install on my noble.
I will probably have to fabricate a few mounting tabs, however.
