Sounds perfect - next time you can start in bed for an hour longer and still get in at the same time as everyone else. smile

Seems to me the choices are: 1) get stuck in the snow or 2) buy a 4x4 / winter tyres and get stuck behind someone stuck in the snow. 3) make it to work after spending 4 times the usual commute time negiotiating your way around cars stuck in snow and collecting half a dozen office colleagues who know you have the 4x4, and then being the only half dozen people keeping the office running for the day before performing a reversal of your long and slow morning taxi service.

It's getting pretty close. We handed it over to the local TVR specialist for the final bits and last thing I heard the new engine was in and about to run for the first time.

In "the great freeze of 2010/11" (copyright me!) we had our first snow 25 November (we went on holiday the following day!) and it didn't clear until 26 January.

This year, we've had snow cover for about 4 days now, with fresh snow overnight. Lovely.

I think my work have it right.

1 Land Rover as a company car so if weather detiorates so much we can still get about. 1 person gets nominated per day to turn up early then pick everyone else up and drop them off. Works quite well actually.

Sorry mate - I meant what car.

biggrin

I suspect that's pretty rare for any UK Dealers to be fitting new cars with winter tyres.

My Dad's new 3 series is coming (tomorrow!) with them on, and they will look after his summer wheels and tyres until he needs them.

Lester, can you PM me details of the Boxing Day event?

I don't have access to "that" section currently and would love to bring the Chim along for an early morning event if the times suited biggrin
