Remove the rear diff?
Discussion
Might be worth using the 'search' function...if it's available.
IIRC darkmatter, who posts on the Griff forum has done this. He accessed the top mounting bush/bolt by cutting a hole in the grp above the diff. This allowed easy (relatively) access to the top mounting.
Obviously, the drive shafts and prop had to be let go first - but it can be done.

I have taken the diff out of my Grif and as long as your organised and have the right tools there is not a lot to it. As a word of warning its best described as fking heavy!! I did mine from under the car as oppossed to Darkmatter who cut through behind the passenger seats. Will try and post up some links shortly. Anything specific you need to know? Have you got a copy of the "Bible"?

Not as bad to do as some make out, falls out a lots easier than getting it back in there - I suppose gravity helps!
If you have no speedo sensor issues before you start, measure the gap before taking it off and put it back exactly the same way (assuming BTR)
Also, a really good time to grease the prop UJs.
