Hi All;
Thinking of one of these toy's, (30k mark, so 2008-09) is it worth holding out for a vehicle
with the 'Performance' pack (slip-diff + power) or without will do just fine ?
Probably down to opinion but thought I'd ask if the technical reason
is worth the wait for the right car....
TIA, gt....

As has been said, it's not as important on an early car. A lot of people moaned that the suspension was too stiff, but they wanted the LSD, which I think is why MB separated them all - well that and to make more money!
I think it's most important to buy on condition, I'd also suggest getting an MB warranty.

LSD is for those who spend their time with the traction turned off and in reality not used as often as other options. Don't know how much more you need for a facelift but that's where my money would go.
I know lots will disagree, but the more performance related options and accessories fitted to a car, the harder life it's had - if you spend £3,000 shaving 0.1 from the 0-60, your going to need to justify it at every set of lights, aren't you?
All respectfully IMHO.
