Xmas Pressie (food) Advice for a Muslim

A couple of Muslim friends of mine run my local PO & being a seasoned Ebayer / Amazonner, I use them a lot & they help me out a lot.
I wanted to get them something just to say thanks really & I know they like a brew so was thinking a tin of biscuits.
Is there anything that's a no-no with regards to biccies - e.g are just normal choccy ones ok?
Maybe I should know this stuff, but I don't & that's why I'm asking!

I used to work for a muslim, one day he asked me to go and get some biscuits to have with a cup of tea.I gave him the biscuits and he read the ingredients then told me to take them back as they contain animal fat, some of which may have been from pigs.

No, I don't give a monkey's if a Muslim is offended or not by Christmas lights. It's hardly the same though, the OP is talking about purposefully giving someone a gift to celebrate a festival contrary to their religion. Do you also complain about Xmas lights in case a muslim is offended?

So like I said, it'd be a prick of a muslim to take offense at a gift given in relation to a figure who features in their religion and you're coming off like the people who complain about things just in case they offend another religion.

Well if they (or anyone else for that matter) can't accept a gift in the manner it's intended, then sod them.It's a gesture of friendship and appreciation of their efforts, religion should have f

Er... no.Christmas was always a Christian thing, the clue is still there in the name. It just happens to be held over the time of a defunct pagan festival.
My housemate is Muslim, he likes to be included in what us lot do over Christmas and i give him a Christmas card for sts and giggles. Over the last 2 years we have had a Christmas party. We get Halal chicken (SO TENDER), sage and onion stuffing (instead of sausage meat) and cook everything in butter and olive oil instead of using lard and goose fat etc. Its great! everyone has a good time and much food is consumed!
The only things he doesn't have are the sausage wrapped in bacon and the alcohol, but tbf, we usually have loads of coke/7up as well.
Most Muslims are really nice people who like to get involved. Its only the very few who get on the news for being tts.
I take an interest when he celebrates Eid too, but he usually goes home for that, so my participation is very limited
I think its a really nice gesture buying your local PO owners some biccies, but yes, just take note of the animal fat as someone mentioned. My girlfriends mum runs her local PO and sometimes it can be pretty hard work!
