Just a little rant about some peoples obsession with plastering the front of their cars with halfrauds LED running lights, saw a comical BMW 5-series on the way home tonight which had leds on the bumper spanning the entire length of the front of the car, and further led-ige on the headlights and around the headlights as well, he might aswell just drive around in a giant lightbulb with wheels.
Mainly though I usually see them on scumbag mk1 Vectras and 'cool dad' Zafiras.

Also how many leds are you allowed before it's illegal ???

I think I may hang a set of icicle style christmas lights from the front of my car this year. I wonder if the DRL dumbasses will understand that I'm taking the pish out of them.

Indeed.

Fog light wkers can now indulge in their habit amongst a sea of DRL fitted cars, safe in the knowledge that the police will never pick them up for incorrect use of them.

Pretty sure you need the correct spacing between DRLs or else it's illegal?

Yes, but does every car on the road need to be done up like a Coke lorry at christmas?

idea perhaps that's where the idea has come from?

People just need to add more carrots to their diet imo hehe

Can't beat a bit of consideration on the roads, eh? rolleyes

IMHO, it's the "I'm allright jack" attitude that is ruining the UK as a place to live.

What's worse that DIY dlr or fogs....are the idiots who load up their car yet do not use the headlight adjustment switch so they end up blinding everyone that drive past! They really piss me off, fogs and DLR don't annoy me as they don't blind me. But those bds I spoke about need a good slap

manufacturers don't help the cause (AUDI).

I see it as a knob head beacon, same as front fog brigade, keep out there way.

blue leds, cherry bomb exhausts etc hopefully a passing car fad.

How many times have you (or the previous owners of the car) died in the 14 years since it was made?

So you are happy to drive a car you know is illegal, and to circumvent the MOT accordingly?

Win-win in your eyes, shame about everyone else's eyes being dazzled as a result. And yet you do this in the name of safety!

This sort of deeply selfish thinking is becoming more and more commonplace in the UK, but I think this is the first time I think I have ever seen it so openly displayed on PH.

Hmm, cherry bomb exhausts have been around since the stone age, not much chance of them being a passing fad.
