no naming and shaming policy

Whilst i accept forums have to be carefull about what is posted on their boards........

It is sad that people cannot post honest views about companies that they have had dealings with. we all want to entrust our cars to the very best specialists and it is great when people live up to or exceed their internet reputations. I read with interest a recent post about phil raby that really showed him to be one of the good guys and the list goes on about many other indys or opc garages that we can be confident in entrusting with our pride and joys.

however when something does go wrong is it not right that we be allowed to post negative views.Or do we just hint at who it was and hope other forum members guess ?

That sounds fair cmoose.

The trouble with that other thread getting locked was that it was no different to people on a "What tyre?" thread, naming their preferences, or saying why they didn't use a certain brand etc.

You could almost sense the person in question, scurrying round behind the scenes trying to get the thread locked/deleted.

Why we have this policy in place, Haymarket have already costs running in £100,000 + in recent years, they would much prefer to invest in the site not and not in legal costs.
