Should I introduce a new kitten.
Discussion
Opinions please. I have a lovely 6 year old cat by the name Henry. He is extremely friendly and loves human company. We recently moved home and it seems to have upset him a bit. He barely goes out now. He used to go out during the day while we were at work and would come in for his food when we got back. Now he is almost always in the house, he goes out for toilet but that is pretty much it. When we get back from work now he goes absolutely potty! Yowling, play biting, tearing up and down the stairs! Craving attention etc etc. I'm worried that he is bored in the house on his own and wondered whether getting a companion for him might help to keep him occupied. I've had cats all my life, but never introduce a new one into the fold.
Do cats get jealous?
Are the techniques for introducing new cats in?
How do you keep the new kitten in the house when there is a cat flap for Henry?
Ideas and guidance welcome. Having a new kitten would be fun! But don't want to make things worse.

New Kitten owner here, 16 weeks old, and introduced to my other cat who is 8 years old some weeks back when kitten was 8 weeks old.
A couple of years ago I was in the same thought, so we adopted a 1 year old cat from Cats Protection, and it didn't turn out to be the lovely friendship we had hoped for, infact they hated each other 99% of the time and would tolerate each other in the same room at a distance the other 1% of the time!! At bedtimes we had to have one upstairs and one down and remember to close doors etc. Sadly the younger cat was killed on the road in January so that was that...
In Sept we decided to give it another go, and got a small 8 week old kitten this time thinking maybe the older cat would not be so scared and intimidated by it, and I have to say it has turned out to be a beautiful friendship!! both boys and spend all thier time together (except when older one goes out) and we are really glad they have each other and the older one is sooo much more playful and its great!
on the catflap, we too have one and it was open 24/7 and as kitten is not old enough to go out yet we did wonder how this would be, turns out we have it set on one way and the older cat just sits at the door and we let him out (easy as im home all day and he doesn't go out at night anyway!) and then lets himself back in the one way flap when he likes.
any excuse for a pic
