So my central locking is seriously playing up.
Like a naughty child, I lock it, it unlocks, I unlock it, it locks itself. And the remote central locking is do temperamental.
Anyway phoned up my warranty company who said to get it diagnosed (at my cost), and the garage needs to contact them directly to agree the price for repair.

I live in Northants so should I go to NewPag works?
Do BR undertake warranty work? I've a sneaky feeling they don't...

If it's Aston Martin warranty BR don’t do it, but if it is an independent warranty I'd take it to BR.

I have the same sort of warranty, where I have to pay for the diagnostics mad. Its a bugger isn't it. i've learned to live with it. Is it a AA warranty ? I ask because its the same in that the garage have to contact the Warranty company and they will talk to me, but won't talk about engineering things.banghead

If it is, you have to carefully check the amount of hourly charge that they will pay.

This is important, you can go to AM if you want and they will charge £130.00 per hour, but the Warranty Company will only pay £50.00.

BUT LOOK CAREFULLY.rolleyes

I looked carefully and found that THERE WAS NO HOURLY RATE SPECIFIED. When it came to it, they said £50.00per hour, I argued and they gave in, but then emailed me and said from here on in, it's £50.00.banghead

So you really really need to read your Policy, check the hourly amount and then find a garage that is within the hourly rate. But just because they are friendly does not mean that they will pay.

They are buggers, read the policy and consider your options, think about it from their point of view, they have insured a peril, if they don;t have to pay, they make money. Obviously its best (for them) if they don't pay. wink

I know just what to do biggrin and I don't mean, "just turn it off", it will come back on.

I'm take the family out for a meal, if someone else has not already sorted it for you I'll tell you how to resolve it later. wink
