Does anyone recognise this car?

I do know what it is, and a bit of its history, but does anyone else?

It looks a bit like the Halseylec, but the registration doesn't fit.

Bob Vincent's Tojeiro with it's original MGA 1600 cc engine.

Later modified to take a 2 litre Bristol engine. The SU carburettors can be seen in the bonnet cut out. The Bristol had Solex downdraught carburettors.

The man standing is Ted Jones father of Vinnie. The man seated is Les Melling who lived in Downhall Green Road and had a tipper haulage business which he ran from a garage at the back of the house. Les was brother to Vera Melling the driving instructor.

For you to know that, if you have not read it on the net somewhere, I suspect that we might know each other....

This is the information I had:

I don't think we know each other, but we both have an interest in the Mighty Mopar, so may have bumped into you. . .

But in this case, Google Images is the cheat's way to answer these sort of questions. . .

When I read your post, I thought that you might have been local to the car...

Its more than an interest in Mopar, I very rarely work on anything not made by them nowadays.
