I think that proves my point that everyone prefers to bPITA as i now have to phone round to get a better deal again.

h. There are already two whinges on here.Petrol's gone up too, so has your weekly shop and most other things you buy have as well. Insurance can't be a permanently deflationary product, when everything that it covers increase in cost every year.

Look, i am not expecting it to go down per say, i am already at >max no claims etc, but for it to go up by >25% is laughable.

To a point, yes, but in the light of the car is worth less this year than it was last year (and it being new last tear was the excuse for it going up), what's the deal?

As Zollar says the majority of the risk carried is not the damage you can do to your car, it's the damage you can do with your car.Look, i am not expecting it to go down per say, i am already at >max no claims etc, but for it to go up by >25% is laughable.
However, an amount of the risk carried does cover your own damage and whether your car is one, two, three or four years old, the parts still cost the same if they do need replacing. The cost of these parts and labour and paint is rising every year too.
My insurance last year was £980. For the m3. I then crashed said m3, wrote it off.
I had my renewal last month, year older, but obviously a claim, oh and 3 points on the licence as well. I now have a skoda octavia vrs (which I hate)
My insurance? 600 quid. Cheapest its ever been! Was not expecting that.....

Stop getting all defensive will you? - I am not asking you to take personally responsibility for the rip off that is the insurance industry

as I said, they use the excuse to put it up, so clearly it is an excuse as it never goes down.

Eh? How can you possibly read what I've written as taking it personally?Stop getting all defensive will you? - I am not asking you to take personally responsibility for the rip off that is the insurance industry
It was an explanation.
If you want to explain why you think it's a rip off industry I could explain that to you too.
