Hi

Unless I have missed it, the article I did for the TVRCC "Sprint" ref this years Fest has still not been printed.

So today I told the editoral team what I think!

I am sorry an article was done in August but its out of my control when/if they print it!

Sorry to hear that Andy

I did a piece on the BNG for the end of September and they have just printed it this issue and done a great job

I did try to get the Wedges to the front of all I do (as always)

Hope it's in the next months while they must be quieter over the winter months

Cheers
Trickie

They had the piece on the fest in August, but as it was not a TVRCC event they just could not bothered to print it!

Pic taken in Sept can make the front inside cover, but the fest is ignored!

I have spent years trying to get them to support us and they did but there have been some changes in the Club recently and to me they have gone backwards in there attitude towards certain models!

As an ex editor/publisher I know the pressure of publishing features. Were you asked to write the feature or was it something you offered up? The editor has a difficult job in deciding what goes in and what stays out - advertising revenue is a big decider in most cases. I still think the best place to read about Wedges is a Wedged based internet site such as the Wedge Pages.

I'm looking for a creative outlet in 2013 which might be TVR related or the Vintage Music & Lifestyle scene - both passions of mine. I don't know much about website construction etc but I do know a lot about writing, design & publishing. If anyone wants to knock some ideas about drop me a line...

Hi

The whole thing about my rant is the actualy asked me to do the article and after I put a couple of ideas to them which they agreed to it was done as they wanted it urgently, they had already obtained some great pics so it was sent to them in August!

Correction 14th of September I thought I should check!

As mentioned above it's about balance (although in our case not normally with advertising) and what we've been sent and fortunately this year we've had a good response to our requests for articles and as a result we have quite a few in reserve, everyone wants to see their piece in asap so I can appreciate it's frustrating when it doesn't appear.

No special treatment or bias and we've worked hard this year to be very inclusive of all models with at least 6 Wedge pieces iirc.

It's also nothing to do with it not being an official TVRCC event, the Growl (amongst others)isn't a TVRCC event and the report for that ran last month (The Growl was June)

Its nothing to worry about, Andy.

I've also had three (well 2 now) articles pending printing, one I also supplied back in early August.

They get done when they get done, so you're not alone in having to wait patiently. biggrin

I'm just glad Sprint has a lot of different articles to print this year. Last year, their cupboard was getting rather bare
and I'm happy to wait a couple of months to see the final version in print. Gives me time to forget what I originally
wrote in the first place!

At least there's something to read each month too...I'm looking forward to reading about the Track v Road piece on their coilover conversion kit for the Wedge....
