A simple question to most probably, but if I replace the original bilstein front coilovers do I need spring compressors or do they simply unbolt and come away?

Thanks

The shocker and the spring come off as one unit... if you then want to remove the shock absorber or replace the spring, then you have to compress it a tad to get the top collett off smile

Okay so if I simply replace the whole lot, no special tools required?

Just the knowledge of how to set the adjuster to make the car handle how you want

Quite right. I made an assumption that the OP would replace with adjustables, like so many do, but he never said that.
