Came across this last night at first I thought "oh..this will be interesting (in a sad trainspotter sort of way rolleyes)" but then the action began.

I'm not really a Marty Feldman fan his humour doesn't really do it for me and yet when I jumped around other clips I hadn't realised how much of other comedy was originated by him- Monty Python certainly, I also learnt that he had Grave's disease - sad.

When the Jag pulled onto the forecourt I did notice the sunroof straight away (sad heh! lol!)

I suppose like all cars Jag MK1s were just old hence the destruction; bit of a contrast between this and seeing Law powering around Goodwood.

Here you go..

I remember seeing those and Mark 11's being banger raced along with Mark 7/8/9's and Mark 10's. They were just worthless, like a 13 year old S Type is now. A shame, but........

If you like classic Jags and don't like seeing them smashed up, these clips could make you weep.

With regard to the 1985 race, the Series 11 XJ's being used would only have been 11 years old or so! On the secoind one, that must be around 1978/9 - no XJ's as they were still worth something. To think of those XK engines with the polished alloy cam covers being treated like that - they were a strong old thing. A bet there's more than one 3.8 M/oD in there as well. :-(
