A Mates younger brother has just been done for the following...

Empty Grass Car Park, drives in looking for his mates, not there so he does a donut and drives out.

they charged him with dangerous driving.

I'd be interested in your thoughts on what he got

Driving penalty and fine.

now he's early 20's reasonable job lives at home.

I await the stoning

he was stoned too? well there you go!

tricky to comment really...cos....there are ways and ways of doing something like that. If he, in full open view of a copper (who surely must have been visible in this empty grass carpark?) did a big old wheels spinning tyres flaring burnout stylee donut, then maybe the watching plod felt it was somewhat taking the p*ss? Also it may have been a very badly executed donut and they felt he'd be encouraged to try it more and more and on open roads!.

DD does sound a bit steep though - but as I said it depends (IMO).

When it snowed year before last me and one of my brothers went to library carpark near parents - completely iced over - and played 'controlling slides on ice' game for a few hours. Cop turned up, had a chat, said "very sensible sir" and left us to it.... maybe you mates bro met someone having a really bad day..?

Need a bit more really, Graham!

If it was empty, who saw him to make the complaint?

Grass car park = empty field or beautifully manicured NT type car park? Did he leave great big tear-up marks all over the place? Seems criminal Damage may be more appropriate IMO

'Driving Penalty'? - You mean penalty points or something like 'has to wait extra 5 seconds at all Traffic Lights' (only joking with the last bit )

Its an overflow grass carpark, so more of a flat field than a manicured bowling green.

The field does have a bit of history of people doing such things and Plod were hidding near the exit in a hire car.

..ahaa.. the plot thickens!

You sure no members of Joe Public about? Still, 'DD' does seem a bit steep if he was absolutely the only one on the ground!

You can be done for DD on the amount of damage you caused ie it must be '...serious damage to property'
Now one 180 probably doesn't fit that bill, but if he was tearing around for five minutes like a loon at some 'ploughing competition' then thats another matter.

What points did they bring up in the case?

Rgds

P.S. If you attend ploughing competitions(you know who you are!) please dont write in to complain that you are not a loon, I was merely being dramatic!
