I'm currently trying to sell my car via various on line mechanisms (PH being one of them) and I've been approached through a text message by a company called WeWantMotors (dot) com. I'm extremely suspicious as the price they are offering me is close to what I want and is a good £1,100 more than WeBuyAnyCar are offering.

Does anyone have any experience of this company/website?

Is it genuine or should I expect a severe hard buy (vs a hard sell) if they came to physically value my car?

If anyone has previous experience of them I'd be very grateful.

I nearly fall for that scam. it was too good to be true. Refundable deposit of £ 50 and a note saying that they will give £100 when they give you a price different than quoted online. It is Saturday 08 Dec around 20.00. and the appointment is for Sunday at 11.00. I don't believe someone would appear.
IT IS A FRIGGIN SCAM.I couldnt find any info about them. I checked twice. Once before 18.00 and just recently
when your post appeared in Google.

I have just received the same txt message then went on there website Nd put me details in . Then was propt about this £50 deposit seemed like a scam then checked your posts on me and made my mind up ! Robbing £@$%ards . Thanks

Hi, I have just been txt by wewantmotors.com and was offered the same deal (£150 less than I am asking for my Brabus smart), I was a bit concerned about the £50 up front fee, so did a bit of investigating, it does look like its a bit of a scam, the site has only been up three days, needless to say I wont be going any further with them. if anybody has actually had them turn up it would be good to know how it all goes..
