A friend of mine is thinking of buying an RX8 1.3

Thinks it will be easy to insure for a sports car and fun to drive.

Probably looking at an old one.

Anything particular to look out for?

Mae sure its been well looked after et a compression test before you buy the car anyone who refuses is hiding something. Make sure you test cold and hot starting should start normaly hot and cold. Also make sure coils have been replaced should be done at 30k if not budget 300 for new coils,plugs and leads. Head over to rx8 owners club uk lots of info on thre alo cars for sale by people who know there stuff. Lots of people say get a car with starting issues for 1k then get engine rebuilt for 2.5-3k then you have a perfect car. These are great cars if you look after them I have one and love it just need to be used 9k revs for keeping the carbon from building up. If your mate can live with 22 ish mpg and not using it for short journeys they are a great car.
