Hi All,

Thinking about a pressie for the wedge and wondered if the Magnecor leads are worth the dosh. I have had my wedge since July and don't know when the leads where last changed but I know they are just a standard set.

Are Magnecor leads the way to go and are the red ones just complete overkill and blue being plenty good enough for fast road use ?

Cheers All

I put them o my first wedge and it didnt like them (reason unknown). Went for a set of Bosch ones after that and never had anymore problems.

I think a few people had the same results, maybe wrong.

Thanks for that.

Just had a quick look at bosch leads on fleabay and seem very reasonable.

Can I use landrover 3.5i leads ?

Also has anyone got any good experiences with types of updated coils over and above standard lucas ?

Cheers

I picked them up from a local motor factors as there is different types so might be worth be asking in one of them, or someone will probably be along with the part number shortly. Also the bosch coils are bloody good. It seems to be a bit of kind of match up thing, Bosch to Bosch.

I have Moroso leads. Have to make them up but at least they will be a perfect fit. Watch out for cross overs etc. Think the plug end comes made up and you fettle the cap end.

Having used these for a few years, and experienced several breakages which cost me to replace, I eventually threw them away and bought a Moroso lead kit from Real Steel. You cut to exact lengths required, and crimp the dizzy end caps on. Good quality stuff. Make sure you buy the proper crimping tool, and some extra lead separators.

Looks good for the money, is the King lead long enough to reach from the dizzy to the coil on the drivers side wing?

Not sure about the wedge. Mines a griff and king lead is fine. If you contact him i am sure he would sort you one the right size.
